The Iranian embassy architecture derives from elemental Persian architecture involving a Dome in a box
The dome which is located at the center of the building serves as a ceremony hall and also directs the light from the roof into the different spaces. The administrative section is organized on the first and second floors and the gallery is located on the third floor looking into a courtyard which serves as an open gathering space.
The embassy of a country is in general the heritage and the house of a nation in a foreign land. The Iranian embassy in Tanzania serves both as an administrative building and a gallery dedicated to Iranian-African art and social interactive events.
It has in its essence a dialogical and interactive situation which interconnects the cultural communities of the guest and the domestic countries.
