The Chuki Chair
In Dari Persian, “Chouki” refers to a chair, historically associated with serving as a footrest for kings. Similarly, in Hindi, “Chouki” or “Jouki” denotes a raised seat, such as a bench.
The Chouki chair provides ample seating space equivalent to that of a single sofa, ensuring comfort and ease of use, while it appears lightweight and lean due to its slender support tubes.
The chair’s support structures is made of three curved tube pieces that converge at the base of the seat. Variations in the design of the seat and backrest draw inspiration from Iranian textures and colors.
The Chouki chair is designed and made for use in Hani chain restaurants..
